Mind and Soul

I’ve searched my soul,
I’ve searched my mind,
and found that both are intertwined.

I’ve chose the path,
I’ve chose the way,
to lead me forward through my day.

I’ve really tried,
I’ve really fought,
to take my actions with great thought.

I’ve still to learn,
I’ve still to change,
for life makes all things rearrange.

I’ve felt the warmth,
I’ve felt the cold,
of peoples hearts, both young and old.

I’ve heard their truths,
I’ve heard their lies,
but know of them, which sooner dies.

I’ve accepted others,
I’ve accepted ‘me’,
my heart has helped my eye to see.

I’ve been quite young,
I’ve been quite old,
and seen life’s pathways all unfold.

I’ve found some love,
I’ve found some pain,
but through it all, I’ve found true gain.

So when at last,
my soul soars free,
I’ll know in truth, ‘my soul is me’.

The moment created this second, is a  moment that's going to last.
It lives the full spectrum of time, the future, the present and past.
