. To the West The deep blue ocean To the East mountains High as the open sky It was a year or so getting here And it’ll take likely just as long To get back to where we started from The trek’s been hard And not particularly safe or comfortable There’s more than some who would And will wonder why Truth is a man’s Young and strong enough To follow a dream like this Only once in his life After which There’s plenty of time For a wife kids And being tied to a horse Going round and round In the same old fields In Tennessee . |

"To the West The deep blue ocean To the East mountains High as the open sky"...between blues..between calmness and beauty. "It was a year or so getting here And it’ll take likely just as long To get back to where we started from"....we are all travelers...but go back to the start? in the line of time, how does one go back? either a new start or a new dream of the back then. "The trek’s been hard And not particularly safe or comfortable There’s more than some who would And will wonder why"....the meaning of the travel only to the traveler "Truth is a man’s Young and strong enough To follow a dream like this Only once in his life"....the value "After which There’s plenty of time"...opportunity cost "For a wife kids And being tied to a horse"...family the goal "Going round and round In the same old fields In Tennessee".... boring life. Yesterday, one of my friend drove up to the mountain after a fight with her husband. Today, people use cars and life is not that boring. it is very dramatic, sir! beautiful poem as always. enjoyed! |
