The night was so beautiful, moon full and oddly colored. As I drove to what was inevitable doom, it soothed me inside. I had been told stories by my Mother, of this wonderful sight in the sky. I knew it would be the night, that my Mother would die. When I reached her she was unaware, not knowing any in sight. Yet she turned to me slowly, uttered I Love You. I always knew this, through all the good and bad days. But especially on the nights, we shared the moon and stars. The Indian Moon still comes, and her spirit is still alive. I feel her beside me, but especially on those nights. |
