Slice Of Melon When June scribes the flavor of man in fruit Juices flow of ripe cantaloupe and mango ice Reminding me of chiffon floating backless in the breeze When we laughed until tears took over the rack of ribs Hand in hand meandering a slice of moonlight That made me hungry for the glisten on his lips Pine has a scent of realism more hypnotic than wine The trunks give audience without intrusive eyes Moss is soft underfoot, un-disturbing in remark Excited breaths massage from deep down emotions Making way to fingertip journey on half lit slope Hearing love made in echoes of resuscitative glee Carried here in the simple sounds of night Summer glimmers such pure and sweet highlight A slice of almost always joy worth anticipation That I should keep a picnic packed in goose bump ready For this adventure was begun a dream to be On evening winds that tip the slice of melon happily Copyright Kkh 5/21/07 |

This is a soooo very beautiful poem I wonder why people missed it. How sweet to write like this?! I call this a real poem. I wanted a man out of water melon. better seedless so there is nothing annoying when I consume him. am I right? It is a truly beautiful and very romantic poem. happily enjoyed. |

a pleasant ‘slice’ of summer thoughts evoking fine memories… I REALLY like: “Pine has a scent of realism more hypnotic than wine The trunks give audience without intrusive eyes..’ enjoyed! |
