The Grave of the “Unknown Poet” [alternative ‘memorials’] I have sought...far and long for ‘faultless’ rhyme in silence, to pen one ‘perfect’ poem... that would float above its page forever, in grand-exposition of dazzling ‘truths’ and immortal ‘revelations’, gleaming like Herkimers diamonds by moonlight...but instead, I have found... only that time melts all ‘certainties’, (and ‘love’ may be... the most fatal form of pleasure) leaving only catatonic dreams and lost-enchantment’s hollow shell, leaning together (in ‘eternal whisper’) above the grave... of the “Unknown Poet”! |

It is said that Herkimers are special energy stones, allowing one to expand 'cosmic consciousness.' Your words always allow the reader avenues for thought expansion, and are as brilliant as any Herkimer. |

Alternative memorials...Hmmmm... *smiling* Beautifully written, Bruce! favorite lines: "that would float above its page forever," "gleaming like Herkimers diamonds by moonlight..." and of course ~ "time melts all ‘certainties’, (and ‘love’ may be... the most fatal form of pleasure)" |

The Herkimer diamond is known as the Buddha Stone and I have a four inch one in front of my Prosperity Buddha statue. ~ I reckon the money should start pouring in any day now! lol Now back to this fine write of yours, "(and ‘love’ may be... the most fatal form of pleasure)" ~ But what a way to die! Loving and being loved to death! lol I enjoy your poetry, Known Poet! ![]() To love and poetry! Linda ![]() |

Secondhanddreampoet, This is an interesting sentence. It's well constructed, and unusual. It's very good work. Bobby |
