I Would Tell You |

I don't mind these walls, The minutes and the hours that go by between them, Are making up the day. The days and nights turn into years, And still you'll never know, The terrible secret kept within these walls. As it goes with this, I would tell you I love you, But what difference would it make. I could tell you how much I need you, But you would know me for a fake. In the depth of the night, I am the fool who believes. That maybe I could get away with this. But this seems to be, How you and me function, Denial, betrayal and sheer frustration. And I have no love to give. I don't mind these walls, The minutes and the hours that go by between them, Are making up the day. The days and nights turn into years, And still you'll never know, The terrible secret kept within these walls. Let me believe we're in love. That enough just isn't enough. That we just need to slow it down. Just let me believe, That I am laying on my love too strong. ~S-D Some Of Them Want To Use You, |

Love begins within the embrace of friendship...this is where acceptance, forgiveness, caring and tenderness can find a place to be nourished...James |
