this fear rose so slowly but has hung for so long that those who see daily cant find in their eyes the warnings of seconds and the drying of chances to save lungs from exposure and keeps chins above waves. emergencies now are only routine while reality lingers but refuses to kick and those shattering moments are spun off as gold and left to echo high pitches as the rocks beat out bottom. it all catches up seemingly to a few and we think we're on satin when they're asleep on the ground the levels are even when experts analyze breaks chained to falsified towns or flights down stretches of highway. the faucets spill the same poisons in places and outstretched hands cant show saviors just another debt owed and a bond that cant break those who are deemed in need of helped wash are usually pitied by the same ones with stains and the scene dictates nothing it's the minds in the set and the wires drawn tight to run us to pieces. well their luck was sure down and the sabotage on but the ones who are free because freedom is clocked and all pay fare in the end to road blocks and short cuts for a pass or a nod. the language stays constant where begging knows chatter and screaming for rescure is said as good time. the tides slide in slowly biting ankles and waist so the route to safe shelter is through the very same toxins we need to breathe free of. |
