a Grandmother's story A warm wind, lifted azure waters of sea moon’s agile ballet in its animated waves silvery billows drift little & thick like a soft smile removing pain… doing away with grief I am lost in those arms of sea glowing white with heat & energy muscular limbs of gentle voice, aglow embraces this cerulean phenomenon an ebon froth sends me to where sky ends & sea embarks, open-handed firmament ardent hunger, melting urgently into wood glow of movements I watch and marvel warmth, richly glistening with perspiration bade me pardon the whims of my own fate dressing reflection with a delicate lavender puting myself in her place though eyes were large & sun-silvery blue like an ageless ocean suppressed for the occasion calm lagoon of excitement...discovery skin retaining strength of will then... musty traditions were expected to hold on, but nature doubled back, when need arose there was no horse I couldn’t ride nor dog I couldn't train nor mountain I couldn’t climb nor dragon I couldn’t slay and now now... the winds of December show barnacles splattered with harsh breath one human life, a flickering light nameless sailor on the tongue of depth calling weakly...grandmother...madam...mim I can demur in peaceful temperament distilling my own name, and my little one... I will love you forever and ever... [This message has been edited by LeeJ (01-17-2007 03:06 PM).] |

Lee, you know that I know how sweet that moment was for you! Your grandaughter's "mim" is truly a remarkable woman and poet. That precious little apple did not fall far from her grandma's tree! Loveya! Linda |
