I still dream in color, danceing by the light of the golden moon, Meeting at that bridge, where the note was left, wanting to go with you, Music plays, somewhere in time, a Journey awaits, faithfully sending all your love along the wire. Classical music is best, memories dance softly, as pictures pass before me, The stars are shinning, Pisces and Libra, quite a pair, guiding forth, Serendipitys dream, A dream of many colors, a rainbow of memories. You meet me there, every night, nothing is black and white, and I still dream in color. J. M. Barrie, the playwright, may have said it best when he wrote, “God gave us memories so that we might have roses in December.” |

ARH, lovely to see you here again, to dream is somewhat a fantasy in itself, daydreaming a past time, colours of blue of green, of the most beautiful rainbow to be seen. You are the lucky one my friend to be blessed and given what many here desire. Dance by the golden moon and grant your partner a kiss goodnight when morning comes. Enjoyed your words my friend and seeing you here. Rick |

Hello RH ... You don't know me ... I have been a bit curious about how sighted people dream, inasmuch as some tell me they dream in black and white, at least most I've talked to. But what puzzles me is why should someone who sees in color not also dream in color? For not dreams made of the stuff of daily experience? Blind people have dreams about exactly the same things as do the sighted. Newly-blinded adults will continue to have "visual" dreams." Because I have no memory of once having seen, my dreams have no visual content. (although I may have strange faculties like the ability to fly or know what is "happening" in another part of a dream) Because I am newly deaf, I continue to "hear" in my dreams like when I was a teenager. In a few dreams I am deaf; while in a few others I am both hearing and deaf, and otherwise all mixed up. It is only in my dreams that I can overhear a conversation in another room, or hear the distant chiming of church bells, or listen to an orchestra, a song. Some of my dreams have background "music" to the story, sort of like the sound tracks of movies. Anyway, thanks for unknowingly inspiring me to write you this twaddle. J |
