The anticipation blocks my thoughts.
I worry that I'm too late
and passed a road I was supposed to take.
Have I, in some way, altered fate?

I'm bone dry but still I
stand here trying to squeeze
myself to draw blood from stone,
and end up on my knees
alone.

What's left to do but ride the wind.
Life is short, that's true.
All I ask is forgive me now,
I know not what I do.

You do as we all do Dixie, when on you knees you are not alone, you have your faith, your hope and your dreams; you have taken the right road and fate will not let you stay a friend with loneliness for too long. You have opened your heart to us all here and we together wish you happiness and that is what you shall receive, so smile and look toward a bright future, believe and it can be.
Good luck my friend, nice to have you still writing, your pen may never run dry.

Rick

Darlin' Dixie, you just rise from those ashes like the beautiful Phoenix that you are!

You have met many a bump on your road, but I know that you are headed in the right direction!

Giving you a warm, loving hug,

Linda

In this 'write' is encapsulated
my (alleged) 'life' as well!...
and so, I 'ride' poetic 'winds'!

thoughtful, honest, powerful!

Applause!!
