Incessant Waves As the thin of opal shell is breeched Sudden sound from empty chest is reached Incessant are the whispers of the soul Waves that rise to drag away the fragile shore Left uneven jagged banks succumb the roar Numb at first, though the mind as sail survives Invidious surf of fisted salt spray glass Where then the sand returns to moat, on midnight’s pass A hand that sweeps across emotive sea To clear the mist, uncloak the day intrepidly Copyright Kkh 5/8/07 |
