 Artist: Orah Moore Bon Voyage ~ Linda L. Dowd ~ I write these words with neither rhyme nor reason. I am simply writing from the me of me ~ to the you of you. ~ Just letting the words flow without intent. ~ Allowing my emotions free rein, with no apologies to be given. I know not where this journey of the heart will take us ~ nor do I plan to gaze into a crystal ball in search for answers. I am enjoying this exhilarating and adventurous ride to ‘Destination Unknown’. The uncharted waters before us, offer no promises. However, I do know this ~ I will carry paddles, to propel us forward. ~ Oars, to stay the course, and life-preservers, to keep us afloat. ~ Bon Voyage! Love is the unifying force which integrates one’s soul with that of another. ~ Linda L. Dowd |

Linda, The depth of expresion in this leaves me speachless (that's why I'm writing LOL). I often wonder where my own words come from when I write, but I'll take a guess that this one was written directly, with very little editing from a source that still remains one of life's mysteries. Did I say I like it?... I love it. I still do not understand why I find pieces like this to be poetry of the best kind when I have such difficulty in accepting most free verse as poetry.... (smiles) Yay, and I always know when I'm about to read a poem of yours that I'm prepared to embark on a mystical journey into the unforeseen, the ethereal, the prismatic and everything in-between, yay! (giggles) I always try and follow that same approach in my poetry too, as I find the best way to allure someone all the way through your poem is to make it feel animated, like you're on the Tilt-A-Whirl, the Matterhorn, the Troika, etc, oscillating between imagination and synesthesia!
