There is a friend I've never met
but he has shown such love and care,
and sometimes in my dreams, I reach
and I can touch him like he's there.

There is a friend I've never met,
a man who has never given up on me
though I've disappeared into cyberspace,
to accept that we will never be.

There is a friend I've never met
but known throughout the passing years,
and to this day, he lights my eyes,
makes me see hope right through my tears.

It's only words he says, simple words.
He's helped me much more than I could say.
There's something deep inside of me
that tells me we will meet one day.

The ache of feeling so close to him
but not being able to touch just yet...
just may be something to live for...
to meet the friend I've never met.

thank you for a little peace in a time of trial and chaos...
you mean more to me than anyone I can touch right now

Wonderful and filled with gratitude, dear Dixie!

There is indeed always someone special who comes to our rescue in difficult times.

Even at distance, friendship is precious. I know.

Love and hugs.

This poem served to remind me to be thankful for all my friends, those I see daily, and those I have never seen.
We all need friends such as this or the dream and hope of having them. Thanks for sharing this.

So very many of us can relate to this.  More
than many might ever imagine....  Cyber
space is a gift and yet at times,  can cause
such ache.

Dixie, your sweet mind has certainly put down in writing a marvelous tribute.

The only thing in my dreams lately is the fact that I quit smoking and I am always dreaming, I'm having a cigerette?????
