Thus...is ‘Poetry’!... It is my last comfort... when the lonely ends of pointless days descend, in the wake of inestimable sorrows! It is my final shelter... when the wilderness flows in, to wash away all traces where door and chimney once stood! It is my furthest haven... when I have gazed through life’s prisms at a world of inexorable evil that has truly gone mad! It is my ultimate refuge... when I, like Fall’s final frail rose, am shaken by love and winter's indifference!
