Casual Love

Thirty-two years ago
love was hot,
and fierce;
animal lust
that fired desire;
burning passion
that screamed
for release.
Ten years ago,
it had mellowed some,
become an ache
in the loins,
a tingling of the skin,
a flush that warmed the body;
a closeness
that carressed ,
and touched,
and believed.
And just last night...
love was beautiful,
and wonderful,
an experience beyond all else,
complete,
and total,
a melding of
body and spirit,
true,
and forever.
Casual love,
forever love,
love that will last,
and last,
fulfilling,
and unfettered,
love exceeding all
we ever knew.
Casual love,
heavenly love,
such love
I have for you.
