RESTORATION It was with standoffishness, An immature arrogance That I thought I had not the need, And I became wind-swept Across the barren land of non-belief. But with my faith redundant I...a mere mortal Lost my way, And even to myself Became nothing but an unknown. I have so sorely missed Having Him to thank And to talk to. So many memories Of Him carrying me When I was too weak to walk. I must convert Look deep within myself And become again A child of God. I stand here Upon a hill of green In the shadow Of a rugged cross, And I mingle With others who have a need, For restoration. |

i read several time of this poems. So I have to leave my finger print. it is a very good one. esp for a sensitive heart who wants to be a better, stronger person. I love this one. |

This is beautiful. What did you mean by "faith redundant"? I see something in that, and was wondering if it's what you intended. Stephen. |

Very significant write, dear SPIRIT! Though you have always been and always will be a child of God, it’s your awareness of this wonderful truth that is happily restored. Enjoyed! Many may relate to what you convey so beautifully. Love, Margherita |

Loved the last lines... and yes, we do most certainly mingle like the Bible says Birds of a Feather is so so true this was tolerant and understanding, yet the pain was most evident within the lessons learned. hugs |
