Thought I was making it through that my tears were dried up Thought I was healing Instead here I sit with you heavely on my mind Tears so near, heart heavy with denial Wish I could turn back the time Turn back the clock once more Wish I could change my past just once Wish God would have pity on me and send my love back Still can't believe hes gone No longer in my life, no longer by my side Whats a girl to do when she is left to die alone I know I should be smiling I have enough men here to erase my pain But my frown won't change My happiness is gone Took away the man I would of braught home He can't feel my pain He doesnt understand and I wonder does he even remember my name I often wonder does he think of me too Miss me too In the night does he reach out to touch me Every morning when I wake He is first on my mind No doubt he had my heart No doubt he had me sprung Nothing I can do now Cept carrie on each day at a time Forever will he come to mind And to the man that holds my hand next I will always be looking over my shoulder For the one who stole my heart Hoping he will have found his way back I can't move on if my feet won't go Can't control what my heart craves the most My mind can't fool my emotions So I won't be fooling anyone if he walks back into the room And I place my hand back into his I do not need shine or wealth, just a pen and some paper for my health |
