Always the same
Except with a different face
Ah this jaded prince seems to think
Because it’s him doing the adventuring
Things should change

What was it then
That assured such manufacturing
With mindless balls and facile strolls
Upon those shallow insipid avenues
Almost from the day that they were born

Here comes tragic Vera
His latest heart’s despair
Dressed and jeweled
In what is now considered fashionable
Who loves to toss a kopeck or two
To peasants along the way

I thoroughly enjoyed this. Your subject was superb. One of the best pieces I've read on here in a very long time.
