Thinning the Feel I think back to the walking, the hiking and talking and the years that have grown on me. What was the hold, the reaping of that was so worthwhile that the origin creeps inside the mind... thinning the feel of the day leaving empty spaces in need of fill? I listen for the love songs, to hum the pain away, to balance those voices one hears that warn of the truth, that there are no shadows in the wait, no doors to be opened... when one closes, that the grass really is not greener and to give is not always better than to receive. To want what no longer exists leaves me drained as I watch the sands of time... needing to be turned upside down again. M "Love is not blind - It sees more and not less, but because it sees more, it is willing to see less." |

smiling here, even though I found this rather sad, I couldn't help but notice how you have grown, not just in our hearts, but as a lovely person and poet. Beautifully rendered, mo. ![]() |

I especially liked: "To want what no longer exists leaves me drained as I watch the sands of time... needing to be turned upside down again." [although, it all-too-easily could be rather an effective 'summation' of my own existence!] |

DRauntz, thank you but nature just adds to the wearing me out~~ especially at this time of the year. Bruce, I guess there are many that may be living my words at times...Thank you, M |

To want what no longer exists leaves me drained as I watch the sands of time... needing to be turned upside down again. Living your words... exactly. *S* I often read your work and think we're living parallel lives. *S* And I ache with this, being too well acquainted with doors that close, leaving only unpenetrable walls. *S* Beautiful work... this is going into my library! *S* |

"To want what no longer exists leaves me drained as I watch the sands of time... needing to be turned upside down again." ~ I too, have had moments like that in my life. Your poetry always touches me, dear poetess. May the spring revitalize you and may your hourglass be full once again with la joie de vivre! (the joy of living) ![]() ![]() Linda |
