I look at you
you look at me,
searching
for what is lost.
I stretch out
move towards you
need your love
need to feel your warmth.
Then there's that familar ache
the fever that breaks out in me
the drop in my stomach
as I realise
I am reaching out for something
that isn't there

how sad.
I love to read your poems which always have strong feelings-sad, anger, happy(not often).

Oh my but this poem touched me this day!  I felt every word, and can relate to it more than you could ever imagine.
