      Love’s Eternal Smile

At close of dreadful days,
along their weary ways,
with scepter, scythe, and scimitar
men are still cutting down rainbows....
when the evening falls,
and sunset-spirits dance
in swirling mist
of sparkling amethyst,
through carnelian fields
   of dreams.
I haunt the spectral hills
of moon-beam shadows
   slipping past
(like ripples on the winds of time)
in hope of catching
one brief glimpse....
of Love’s eternal smile!

The feelings in this poem make me think you are looking backward in time....though one has loved deeply one can still find again the wonders and joys that will put love's eternal smile on your face and in your eyes...As we grows through life's pains we gain a greater understanding of love that makes love more eternal in nature...it is much more wonderful to love the whole person and grow with them...Sorry for going on...your words and feelings are holding your back...trust yourself more and trust love...even if hurt we can heal and bring more to the next one we love...*Big Hugs*

Love is eternal within us... Men might still be cutting down rainbows... But one thing they could never bring down is your spirit, unless you let them.. And your writing shows that your spirit is strong. otherwise, you wouldn't be creating such lovely and powerful images through your words!! Expressing is healing... The past is an experience, which should be a push for a better tomorrow...
