 As Willows Bend ~ Linda L. Dowd ~ When in thy arms, years slip away, As I be rocked in gentle sway. I lose mineself in thy embrace, And sigh as ye caress mine face. Each kiss turns back the hands of time, I brim with youth whilst in mine prime. We lie as one beneath the moon, With souls entwined in gentle swoon. Naked in our innocence, Our love be pure with no pretense. The scent of rose is everywhere, As we lie still with our souls bare. Thy essence is of ocean mist, ~ So sweet upon skin sunshine-kissed. Sparkles dance in thy twinkling eyes, Which rival those of stars in skies. With limbs entwined in blissful love, Our spirits soar on wings of dove Our hearts beat on in unison, They be conjoined and are as one. Ye be the yang that mine yin feeds, I be the yin that bears thy seeds. As willows bend in southern breeze, Our love does sway with grace and ease. Love is the unifying force which integrates one’s soul with that of another. ~ Linda L. Dowd |
