Demon A demon seems to stay my way And eats the shadows of my stay The battles seem have gone full tilt And I am in a stage of wilt Caught in webs that circle round That fill the air and lives the ground A field of lilies fills the glen The daffodils won’t bloom again Weary lies across my back My candles dross has left but black Numbing all the senses care And stifling the very air My lance is down a saddened clown The moon is up the sun is down I gallop at a circles edge My favor blows a shredded pledge Allurements wings are sore with play I cannot find the light of day |

Awwww Seymour, this brought tears to my eyes. I am so sorry you are having such a bad day. Here is a daffodil straight from my garden, "Just For you". Hope it helps your day seem a little brighter.  Here's a big  for you. I hope it helps. |

I truly relate to this poem [somewhere here my (alleged) life be ‘writ’!]... I particularly like: “....I am in a stage of wilt” : that about ‘sums it up’ for me! Interesting 'write'! |

When demons drain our inner light and sap the will to stand and fight. Lock all the doorways to your soul and rest awhile to make you whole. For battles fought in weak of will are always washed with bitter pill. Far better to refresh withdrawn and seek our inner strenghth reborn. For demons win if chaos reigns their weapons are our inner pains. If turmoil in our mind we stay not even demons win the day. So down your lance and bless the moon, let lilies let your senses swoon. The rising sun on circles edge will once again renew it's pledge. Then like the bloom of daffodils your soul will shine to wilt your ills, with weary eased and candle bright your demons you will put to flight. Fight demons only by your rules, it's only you provides their tools. |
