Each day more despondent
while sinking in to
oblivion,
somewhere out of pains reach
to that plain where fear no longer
grips the soul;

in control
of all emotion
needlessly weighing
on the mind
while taking a blind
leap of faith
creating a safe place
to reside
while being alone

so alone

with tears
left

unwept.

Mind you, they would be mingling with the ones that are about to slide down my cheeks as well.

Dear Donna, out of your sadness you have written a wonderful poem. We can create that safe place indeed, with or without tears, but the major ingredient is LOVE. Let us never forget that we are LOVED.
