A volcano starts to simmer slowly, slowly, underground like a woman in the throes of unholy matrimony. There are fighters on the sidelines shouting, “Hurry leave the scene” but where to till the land and provide good sustenance for a woman so abused? And the fire starts to flicker, grows fuller, wider, higher, all within the confines of a mountainous silence speaking words of wisdom to the weaker sex. Wise to heed the warning but loath to suffer more a woman of this nation withdraws from the heat back into her cave of poetic release. So suffers a woman to come unto peace one day when the fire settles and dies but the time, minute, hour, undecided as yet drags unmindfully on to the end! Helen / 6 April 2007 |

quote: Aren't we women always condemned to this? ... but they won't get it! Extremely impressive write, dear Helen. Time must come to erupt, even if in poetic release. Love, Margherita ![]() |

Hi, Margherita - Better to erupt here I suppose but life sure tests the boundaries. Thanks so much for the read. ![]() Helen |

I see the slow awakening of an immensely powerful and almost primal passion in this write. I should have done this in Word first. Jaime |
