Speak Softly Return to voice that swells my heart As nature flourishes two beside Where were they through silent winter? Huddled between snow laden branches Watching the sky for signs of blue Thinking fire thoughts, warmed in each other For all I know, we are the same Amazed to discover the flavor of together Grey skies have not left dark, a percolating chance Subtleties of us, change color, holding breath for again Flexed in the broadened range of emotions Pearl of cream to champagne gold, we mime Stocking more meaning folded into play, as eyes dance Mirrored starlight, as vast a depth as endless a beat Glistening in the thoughtful rain cured in shivers Cool to the flushed cheeks of imminence Where were they through silent winter? These thoughts that fledge wing and take flight Lifting consciousness to the gold of dawn’s intent Just there, in a silver whisper, the breeze stirs Renewal of hearts, for all I know, we are the same Copyright Kkh 4/1/07 |

"Lifting consciousness to the gold of dawn’s intent Just there, in a silver whisper, the breeze stirs" Beautiful lines; in my opinion, the best in this write. |

Grand imagery here! (such as): “Pearl of cream to champagne gold” or: “Glistening in the thoughtful rain” and: “cured in shivers” and: "Just there, in a silver whisper, the breeze stirs" Also, I particularly like: “Where were they through silent winter? Huddled between snow laden branches Watching the sky for signs of blue Thinking fire thoughts, warmed in each other...” but, I believe the following is in contention for the very best line I have EVER seen!: “Lifting consciousness to the gold of dawn’s intent” much Applause!! |

as he stands in awe, he bows in reverence to the master, and with hushed lips his thoughts reverberate of the majesty of this incredible write...and he bows as he dismisses himself from the presence of royalty... yeah....I liked it a whole bunch |

I read this over and again, and amazed at the number of original lines (at least to me) "Watching the sky for signs of blue Thinking fire thoughts A percolating chance (WONDERFUL!) Subtleties . . . change color Thoughtful rain Cured in shivers (STRONG!) Gold of dawn’s intent Silver whisper" . . . wonderful, powerful poetry - touched both my heart and mind. Robert |
