The veil was finally lifted.
True purpose was revealed.
Were we as holy as we had thought?
Were we as special as our mothers said, when held to her breast?

A small voice answered..."yes".

It was about love after all.
Undying, unfailing love.
So our search for meaning, comes back to ourselves?
The love we give is the answer we seek?

The same small voice answered..."yes".

We do have a soul, and it is love.
It travels through space and time.
Does our voyage ever end?
Do our souls get to rest?

"Yes, my child. Your time will come too. Until then, just love. Let no anger take hold of you, let no spite grab your heart. Let love be who you are, and humanity will go on."

Thanks all...tis good to be reading here again. I'm afraid life has once again taken hold of me. Hopefully as Spring nears, I'll be reminded to come sniff the flowers of poetry which bloom here every day...no matter the weather.
