For one I love. ------------------------------------------- A Turning Wish, A Prayer I would bring down comforters, to sconce you in, turn seasons back to right again, or carry you, yes, to where spring comes laughing all in a day and there is no sorrow. Here the snow came sudden in the midst of summer, so unready, so bare to the cold; no eaves nor even a parka to turn, and clothes such as there are, seem sudden damp, begin to stiffen in the wind. Why must it be you, so bare, bearing the windsnarl at your back and the blue frost teeth all biting? Can I do nothing, offer nothing to help you wait the day of it, the days, until a warmth finds you? Is there no fire but in my wishes, no sweet warm healing nectar, nor even any windshadow I might cast for you? I know only how to pray for rain, and I will pray a warming downpour burgeoning up from the south so that behind it, in the days – perhaps an autumn without chill may strengthen you. |

Jaime~ You are as beautiful as your heartfelt thoughts and prayers~ There are times when I feel your prayers on the wind that blows warmly about me~ This is so caring ... so you~ *Huglets* ~*Marge*~ ~*The sound of a kiss is not as strong as that of a cannon, but it's echo endures much longer*~ |

You weave warmth into each word as you try to fill hearts with a warm rain that leaves one feeling refreshed....I could feel the freshness of your words and they alone made me forget the coldness that you try to chase away...Wonderful writing...*Big Hugs* |

I read your prayerful words twice ~ then thrice. I can well-imagine that they offered warmth to the intended. They certainly did for me. Your pen is most-assuredly connected to your poetic and loving heart. Linda |

You make me think of times, Jaime, when a person must follow some inner drive that speaks to none other than themselves. No one else may hear the call, but poets generally understand the plight of it all. Well done, m'friend. |

I know I've read a real poem when shivers pour down my vertebrae like liquid fire. I want to tell you your poem poured the fire down. A cozy and warming fire full of that tender strength that leaves a man better than he was. I will be looking for more of your poems. |

Is there no fire but in my wishes, no sweet warm healing nectar, nor even any windshadow I might cast for you? This is absolutely lovely... and incredibly loving. There are times when we feel helpless but would do anything to help... You've given words to those times so beautifully and with so much caring... surely such prayers must be answered, such wishes fulfilled. *S* |
