I’m wishing you a sunshine-sugar-poka-dot day, all painted like a brightly metaphysical Monet, where holding still is silly and a wiggle’s okay in a willy-nilly-it’s-a-dilly-polka-dot way! Now, when you get a sunshine-sugar-polka-dot day, remember that you never need a reason to play, just find one happy spot and turn it to a bouquet, catch a smile and never spurn it, then you give it away! I’m wishing you’ll be dishing a delightful buffet and never have to say dessert is “merely souffle” but a feast of happy feeling in a joyful display on a sunshine-sugar-knock-you-reeling-polka-dot day! ------------------------------ I dunno, sometimes a day just needs some silly in it! |

I did it as a challenge to myself, to see if I could work that kooky meter, and a complicated rhyme scheme without having the whole thing fall apart.... a a b - a b - a a a c - a c - a a a d - a d - a The poem's goofy, but I'm happy with it anyway! ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> ______________Ratleader______________ |

I was sitting at the desk, tappy-tapping the rhythm with my fingers, THEN writing the line, whittling and sanding it until the syllables matched my finger-diddles -- I wanted it swingy and syncopated if I could write it that way.....and that was the best "method" I could come up with! ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> |

Ed... I used to have a dress it wasn't quite my best I wore it for its twirl when I was a little girl The polka was a dance the dots for eyes enhance circles circles are my friends they never have an ever end. |
