"Unforgettable" "I remember it so clear as though it were yesterday……………………" As I lay my head down upon your lap, Your soft gentle hands began stroking my face, It made me feel all warm inside, I felt helpless and protected at the same time. The way you kissed me, So soft on my head, Not once but twice, It felt so nice, I felt loved, I felt alive. As we sat there alone in our own little world, Our bodies so close and so perfectly right, The forces of love were about to collide. I could tell by the look coming from you, Whatever was going to happen next, You wanted it too. So with hope in my heart and no time for regret, >From the moment it happened, To when our faces first met. Into the unknown we followed each other, I can still remember how it felt. Soft at first and then more intense as we progressed, It wasn't what I had expected but I followed your lead, The moment was perfect you made me feel complete. Then we stopped……………… Silence……… I looked into your eyes, With all these thoughts in my head, in a caring voice asked, "are you OK?", You smiled at me and nodded yes, Then a tear from your face forced you to run away. I sat there alone thinking "what have I done!" Had I hurt you in an unthinkable way? As the moments passed and you returned hand on heart, You explained why you did what you did. "You didn't want me to see you cry….." As I held your hands to comfort your mind, Telling you that everything was going to be fine, I could tell you were happy, Deep down inside. |
