Intermission Half-written pieces of poetry, my intermittent muse, nothing seems to touch my life, not even things I had to lose, not things I cannot change because I did not choose, not things that make me laugh in spite of leaving quite a bruise. It makes me question myself if I only have half a heart, not being able to finish these rhymings that I start, despite the deep sadness of you and I torn apart, the pain all by itself used to be a work of art. My ending lines once packed a punch and sealed it with a kiss- but here I sit in intermission without an ending line to this. |

"the pain all by itself used to be a work of art." So true, Dixie, and after intermission there will be more works of art which I look forward to. |

"It makes me question myself if I only have half a heart, not being able to finish these rhymings that I start," I don’t believe it’s true The words are there Your charming sentiment too… With that smile I see In your picture above Reflects nothing but happiness and Gobs and gobs of words of love… So, Refuse the bad, the ugly and sad! Cause when you write your poems and words They sing a song and make everyone glad!! JL Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: |

Your vision is proof perfect, that the journey is worth taking. Allow the intermission, as if it was autumn...when spring arrives, you will be that much more ready to bloom, sweet flower of the blue. |

you'll never be finished, thankfully. sometimes the closing words don't come because you're still open to the world. the journey of a poem. love, reg |

"...but here I sit in intermission without an ending..." I have needed a time-out for years. I think it is a good thing...but that is just me. |

My eyes say your intermittent muse is working just fine...keep on writing! And I agree with the other commentaries, these lines pack a powerful message: "the pain all by itself used to be a work of art." always seeking joy, adventure and romance and wishing you find the same |

one can only be what they're minds believe they are, and you missy are one heck of a writter...so take the break, collect new relics of inspiration...remove the doubt, your muse is just taking a breather.... your writes are indeed a blessing to all of us. |

"It makes me question myself if I only have half a heart, not being able to finish these rhymings that I start" You read my mind so often, you know. I've got bits of notebook paper with scribblings all over the place in here... little is finished and what is, I don't like. I keep wondering where my heart went. I always wrote best when angry, but now it doesn't seem to matter, as if I'm too tired to express the anger or anything else that I'm feeling. I have trouble remembering words now, and it drives me nuts. I look back at my older work and think I wrote that? Where have my words gone? You though, manage to take your intermission and turn it into a really good half-time show It looks as if you've got your game on to me! I love your poetry, all of it. {{{Hugs}}} Caroline |
