Within The Shadows "Between the idea And the reality... falls the shadow."... T.S.Eliot, "The Hollow Men" No doubt I have been living within the shadows of my idea, my plan, my hope and my desire. At times I have managed to step out of the shadows, gained momentum and moved progressively closer to the fruitation of my idea. There have been times of elation, days of elevation, and even some moments of jubilation. Still , within the shadows, frustration would find its place to slap me in the face, and keep me from the attainment of reality. But, no more, for as of now, the woman I adore, agree's with me accordingly, and in two short days she will return to me, and as for this shadow, it will be no more... I really like this one. Most of yours tend to be a bit to romantic (not bad) for my taste. Moments of elation (usually the forming of an idea) I can relate to a bit better. Kudos on a very well written poem. "No one now dies of fatal truths, there are to many antidotes to them."- Nietzche |
