        does it take pent up emotion

to write and ocean

                       of poetry

or does it take  a gent missing her Revlon lotion

to take insight out of the motion of words

while manipulating adjectives and adverbs

plus maybe a little help from her Hodges Harbrace

               to develop a floetry

light enough to remind myself how sweet it could be if she thought deserved

                    her attention
