Of Innocence Born By Paul Wilson Cast offs…those wanted by no one discarded in the heat of regret Helpless victims of consequences children of innocence and amoret My heart cries for angels lost ultimate price paid by all No birthdays or family pictures no memories to recall Their laughter silenced for all eternity Babies without names some only hours old you see Coldness grips the night another angel greets the world The door to absolution closes as package is tossed…was it a boy or girl Today is filled with questions of last night’s choices The need to know is overwhelming story is told by t.v. voices Out the door she runs time to hang with friends Another party tonight is this where the story ends or begins? The father had no clue just a donor in his youth She preferred to hide it not wanting him to know the truth How many more will be lost not much chance to survive The clock is ticking fast pray the doctors can revive ~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~ Paul [This message has been edited by Paul Wilson (03-06-2007 07:56 AM).] |

Hard hitting lines, these are. It's too bad that we cannot give our children a box called Consequences, so they could see ahead of the choices they might make. But that's a crystal ball, isn't it? Well done, Sir. |

Paul~ Stark reality often hits us smack dab in the face and many still don't 'get it'~ There is much sadness in our world ... you write of it well, my friend~ *Huglets* ~*Marge*~ ~*The sound of a kiss is not as strong as that of a cannon, but it's echo endures much longer*~ |

information coming across a long narritive arch...I hope and pray people listen, and or wake up to the fact that it isn't working this way...an awfully somber topic that must be addressed...and soon I hope. Thank you for this |

Not an easy subject to write poetry on but you did it very well. |

Paul, Reminds me of the little beggars of Tan My, and Hue, Vietnam. Kids ages from 4 to about 11. No mom or dad, no home, no food, no place to go except to roam the streets, scared 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Very sad, Paul. Very sad, but needing to be talked about, over and over again. Great write my friend. JL Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: |
