Fall Snow, Spring Rain This Labyrinth called destiny Each step ordained preemptively Along the tracks two ways recruit Of dawn and dusk array astute Gloss of seduction o’er seasonal mist The froth of evening gowns distressed A clear veneer convenes undressed Refinished gates berate egress And silent, silent beats the heart Fall snow, spring rain Become the amnesty of pain In curious soliloquy Solicitude calls quietly Gloss of seduction o’er seasonal mist And silent, silent beats the heart Copyright Kkh 3/1/07 |

"Fall snow, spring rain Become the amnesty of pain In curious soliloquy Solicitude calls quietly" I adored your unique word usage here. This stanza described to me what so many of us across the country are now experiencing. A pardon from additional snow which changed into rain turning the ground from white to reflecting water puddles. Yet then comes the concern of ice damns forming which cause flooding. I am not sure if this is what you intended for the reader to glean but this is what it meant to me. But then it is a good thing for a piece to be multifaceted. Excellent write ... always seeking joy, adventure and romance and wishing you find the same |

as others are, I am impressed by your use of words and how you architect them to dance so agilely (is that a word?) over the tongue "curious soliloquy" -- love that coupling, excellent write... |

Along the tracks two ways recruit Of dawn and dusk array astute ~*~ Now, IWIHWT...and delightfully reminiscent in the kindest, most gentlest way of Sandburg... wonderful! |

"Fall snow, spring rain Become the amnesty of pain In curious soliloquy Solicitude calls quietly" Ditto all the above comments! Yes, Kathleen, I believe especially the spring rain becomes the "amnesty of pain" (love that phrase!!). Love the poem! *hugs*...jo |
