I held my breath against the moment,
quivering,  somewhat motionless...
anticipating,  waiting, wondering if...

The beat of a trembling heart pressing
against ears that heard only a slight
sigh beyond the thunderous roar of
crimson waters flowing ravenously down
into the depths.  Deep, clear waters...
running slow...carrying truth and
honesty....ambition and inhibition..
a twinkle of an eye searching the
smooth tender skin of one who would
now become a cherished jewel...

a friend...

How beautiful Barry!
Your muse is back and feeling on top of the world.

In the midst of winter,
I found there lives within me..
An invincible summer.

That was a beautiful line. My heart skipped a beat on the last word.

ah hah!  Now I see why everyone seems to be flocking to your post!  To me, it depicts that almost simultaneous longing and apprehension, that moment in between... wonderful writing Magnus.

Crimson water:  channels for the streams of love, the pulse of life we carry in our veins that sometimes leaves a whisper much louder than Niagra falls....

How beautiful it is when it sparkle clearly in the light and leaves breath tremulous!  I don't know if such winds can ever be truly caught, but they know every nook and cranny of one's soul.
