(If anything explains me, it's probably this. If anybody cares.) "Head Cheese and Chicken Feet" Bled by a man with a view too interesting of an oddity to word correctly, and relate to you the meaning. Sang me to sleep. Stuck me with a shiv leaking tetanus into cavities I forgot I had, cranium being one of two. One I’ve never paid proper dues. I fed on paranoia through a straw made of flaccid veins from my body. Watched documentaries about stimulants eating nadcuffs made of fear stricken bones donated to me by my head and shoulders, knees and toes. Closets my friends… Fell in love with the little bits of dust that the light reveals at the space under the door. Made me want to leave but preferred to stay. My mind will massage my feet, touch my head saintly, fill my hat with a thought no one except us will understand. Still too generic to hold, but cool enough to take on a bike ride. Okay, the title just yelled at me to come in. I did and, again, I got lost in how you use words - how you create images. I don't always understand what you write, but I don't think you expect me to. I think that's one reason why I enjoy reading your poetry so much. What I do find is I come back to it, read it, think about it, and maybe still I don't understand it. But, I walk away thinking of how you use those words and how you seem to always get my attention. You are interesting. A |

Ok, your title just about snapped my head off my neck...and while I cannot say I understood the entire write, I loved it, specially this part "Fell in love with the little bits of dust that the light reveals at the space under the door." ...unusual, but surely enjoyable... |

Edster: Of course people care about you! Just not that much. And of course, the poem's a doozy! Jimbeaux |

Your title certainly is an attention grabber! "If anything explains me, it's probably this." If that be true, then you are as intriguing a man as you are poet! lol You are unique and it is a fascinating road that you walk! Vive la difference, Dear Poet. EA |

Wow, I was surprised to see this up here. Thanks everybodys. “Well all the apostles, they’re sittin’ on the swings, sayin’ I’d sell off my savior for a set of new rings.” |

I'm glad I saw this. You know. You remind me of myself (many moons ago) and I hope that's not an insult. You just seem old souled with a fighter's heart and a battling brain of who gets to make the decisions--The wise, or the spirited, or the youthful and capricious sides, just to name a few of your facets, and I may be way off but your spontaneity is becoming of your writing/personality and I hope you don't lose that when you get older. Sharpen it I suppose, but don't lose it. It's completely endearing in my eyes. geez, didn't mean to type a column. love, reg |

Wow Regina, I'm flattered to a point of being flattened. And an insult? What are you crazy? I'm honored. And honestly, I wouldn't know if I meet your description or not; I have an awful opinion of myself. lol If someone wants to know something about me, they should ask the mailman. heh Thanks again Reg, I really appreciate the kind words. Ed (Oh, and the only thing I'm planning on losing in old age is my hair and collection of fake mustaches.) |
