I've heard about that Mansion on the hill
I think I have seen it from my window sill
I can see a golden glow through the trees
And beautiful white doves flowing so free

I've heard of streets that's paved of gold
A special place where we never grow old
Where God's love and eternal life is pure
I am going to pray and take one little tour

With God's everlasting love and eternal glow
In Heaven, I know that I am 'star' of the show
Without a doubt, I know that my God is real
Now, I am sure, about that Mansion on the hill

GOD BLESS YOU!
This is so beautiful and true!
GOD is real and so is HIS SON JESUS CHRIST!
Imagine the most beautiful place in all the world. It doesn't even compare to the beauty GOD has in store for HIS people in HEAVEN!
Oh what a glorious day that will be, when our JESUS we shall see!

I really liked this. It is pure, compassionate and expresses the belief in God. I do not subscribe to "God", per se, but that doesn't mean I do not believe in a supreme being or my creator. We have different names for Him, so, are we taling about one in the same? A curious delemma.
Well done!!!

you take me back in time...to a room in well's hall...it was 1960 an Alex Harvey was talking to Howard Potter about a mansion in the sky...I realize now that their discussion was pertaining to Heaven...both were music majors...Alex was a song writer ...delta dawn and rubin james are to his credits...don't know what ever happened to Howard...enjoyed your poem and thanks for the memory jolt.
