Doubt and indecision
are the illegitimate children of fear.
Sown in the depths of the mind,
they fester and provide a breeding ground
for the demons that invade the spirit.

The demons of fear have many faces
but, only one purpose;
to destroy the spirit.
They are cunning and subtle.
Do not be deceived by their guile.

Each of us must deal with
his/her own demons for
they are unique to the individual,
molded by failures,
shaped by our pain.

They can be defeated
by knowledge, and the wisdom
to use that knowledge,
in spite of the obstacles
you have created in your own mind.

But you must be willing
to do battle against them
on your own ground, with courage,
regardless of the carnage that results,
or you have already lost.

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost
