    Fall Lover

My springtime love was much too young.
He came before his flings were flung.

Beguiled by beauty in the spring.
His fickle love was passing thing.

A summer love was more mature
But much too hot to long endure.

The heat of summer soon will pass
And then I’ll be a lonely lass.

In fall I have a cooler head
To search for one to warm my bed.

True love survives the winter’s blast
And through the winter’s cold will last.

Joyce, I've been away from Pub 3 for some time...good to be back...see some old names I recognize as well as some new ones.

Your poem, "Fall Lover", was delightful. You have added some intriging depth to your poetry since I was last here.

Though I have always enjoyed your presentations, this on was extremely alluring to an old fisherman like me!

Please, continue the good heartfelt work.
