I love you,
No reason to compare it to someone else’s love,
Or compare you to a white dove,
I adore you for who you are, what you have,
I cherish you for all your gentle ways,
And those kisses you often send my ways,
In between the time we are apart,
I can’t wait to see you, hold you once again,
With you I find my peace, my shelter I like to rest beneath,
May I stay worthy or keeping your love forevermore,
To be in your company, I’ve come closest to God,
If there is heaven, I hope it is modeled after you,
For all the ways that you are towards me,
I wish to become better every day,
You presence is uplifting, and your voice soothing,
Each day we meet, I feel as if it is for the first time,
My heart often skips a beat, even after all this time,
I love you today, and if there is tomorrow,
You can count on my love to be there always.
