BEA ARTHUR TRIBUTE 2009

Once upon a time
When I was younger many moons ago
I discovered a comedieene actress
That made me laugh just so

Although at one point I did wonder
Was she a man at one time
As she kind of had some maleness about her
Yet female just the same

Her timing and wit
And her voice and facial tone
Made her unique and special
Truly a gift of her own

Her role as Maude
Kicked some serious sterotypical ass
While as Dorothy Sporniak
She had spunk and class

I'll remember her always
For the laughter she knew
How it came from within her
To share with the likes of me and you

Onward to Comedy Heaven
With an entrance full of aniticpation and grace
All others who went before her
Embrace her welcome and reserved her a place...

She was truly a "Golden Girl" and will forever be remembered for her talent.
