Draw me a picture of your love
So I can see whats in your heart from above.
As the angels guide your hand and heart
I know it was you and me from the start

All I wanted from you was your love
A love that was blessed from God above.
It's not simple, it's complicated you see
To express the love inside of you and me

Don't draw me a picture about negativity anymore
Don't want to pick at these heart felt sores
The angels are here I can hear them sing
True love is something between you and me

Our love and laughter that is felt from the heart
Came when we first met and it tamed our souls
You know now how much I love you dear
Because together we have lost the fear we first had

Margherita and Joyce: Thank you for your comments, I always appreciate them. This song-poem was written back in the 90's when I was a bit younger. I am finishing polishing up the poems without changing their meaning.

This is so beautiful...it made me think of the person I still loved and always will love. =)

When I started reading it was with a quick pace, but then your words slowed me down and I was able to take it all in much more deeper. Really good writing.

I'm confused as to if you were writing about someone that used to love you or writing about someone you wished loved you in the same way you loved them. The second stanza's first line is what threw me off.

Other then that, it's an honest poem that speaks straight to the heart.
