Self Absorbed

I’m having an argument in my head
Which I’m finding quiet amusing,
But at the present time
It’s hard to tell whose losing!

Some days I feel I’m normal,
In fact, I think I’m sane;
Just then my brain moves up a gear
And I find it’s changed the lane.

I think the steering is a fault,
Or perhaps it’s the transmission.
I wish I had the grace and nous,
And knew to which side to listen.

So does this mean I’m really mad?
That there truly is no hope?
Where do I find the off button?
How will I ever cope?

Cute poem but I truly can't help you.  Have trouble enough keeping myself grounded.  Welcome to our corner.  Joyce

Thanks for the replies.
I think really I should have called it Indecision.

or "Self-Absorbed Indecision" ... whatever you title it, I like it.

I am looking forward to reading more of your poetry.  Again, welcome to PiP.

Claire,

I have so much to learn also.  I have been working over in the Poetry Workshop and some things that I have struggled with seem to be falling in place.  Come on over sometime and take lessons with me.

And knew to which side to listen...

If we could get my voices and your voices together, maybe they'd leaves us alone.

Good luck,

Welcome to the pub!  I have to say I've felt this way quite a few times myself.
