Some Little Boys

Some little boys like dinosaurs.
Shut the windows, close the doors.
We don't want any dinosaurs
Coming into our indoors.

Some little boys like billy goats.
Hide your coats and breakfast oats.
We don't want any billy goats
Chewing on our nice new coats.

Some little boys like pussy cats.
Cats hide rats in your hats.
We don't want any rats or cats
Hiding in our Sunday hats.

Some little boys like bubble gum.
That's okay. Give me some.
If you don't think its too dumb
A grandma who chews bubble gum.

Some Little Girls Dance

You are turning three Alexis,
And from Washington to Texas
I am sending e-mails out
To tell the news.

You are starting Montessori School
And learning of the Golden Rule.
You know so much more now
Than in your twos.

You can count and say your ABCs.
You always say "thank you" and "please".
You play games with your brother
And you don't cry when you lose.

You're such a sweet and pretty girl.
You love to dance and whirl and twirl;
So "Happy Birthday", Darling,
Hope you get new dancing shoes.
