Your words are always sugar-coated, Never saying exactly what you feel. I’d look at you until our eyes connected Waiting to see something real. The hardest book I’ve ever read Was the one that would tell me all about you. All I need is the key to your head So I could figure out how to start something new. With every word I’ve spoken to you Attached, was a piece of my heart. If only you knew I was broken too You wouldn’t keep tearing me apart. The anger I’ve felt over not acting how I should Has pushed me so far; I feel I might break down. Just show me you’d love me if you could Because you’ve given me nothing, not even a sound. I told you I love you And you didn’t respond. I guess now I know what’s inside you, A selfishness from far beyond. It’ll never end, this sea of emotion For the keeper of my heart’s many parts. All I could wish for is some kind of potion That will help me forget he ever caused this commotion. |
