I can’t watch, I have to look away Seeing you go thru this every day As you suffer through the lies you are told I can’t believe, that this torture never gets old I gaze in wonder at your devastated face As you attempt to take this all in grace Tears hide behind your glittering eyes You try not to acknowledge the lies We sit talking later on the phone I hear your pain, you are not alone Listening to your heavy sighs I dry your tears as you cry You are too good to have to suffer thus For them to hurt you and break your trust Wreck you up from the inside Cross every possible line Their stares are daggers of hate Slap you right across the face You stand tall and try to fight back Cut down again, it is too sad Every time I try to tell you, give a warning Just a little late. Get to you as the turn they corner Truly you are amazing, beautiful After all your pain you still have a soul Sitting quietly in a class They come up to kick your ass Don’t want to intervene, scared to come out into the sun For once I see it but to afraid it will be me that will run I grit my teeth and clench my fists Déjà vu just another time to reminisce All of a sudden no longer can I stand it Standing up with a bang, calling their sin I walk over there my inexistence fading Telling them off with my eyes blazing An arm around your shoulders to say it’s all right Many others rally to me, for you we will fight When we stuck up, we lit a flame Also we ended their nasty game The popular kids you can now deal with Tables are turned, strong now you win What ever they say you stopped caring You stay up and you’re not scared We share laughs and funny jokes Instead of tears on the phone. New strength you found You’re different now Happier more content Way less torment I think now you actually believe That there’s more to life than you and me You found a new strength now you’re strong No longer apart, you will always belong. |
