Mangled, Beatin,Hurt, now you have a new bruise You just turn your purple cheek Away from the abuse But the lump in your throat Will Grow Bigger until You know in your heart And you feel that its real Only Here Only now Only He can appear Only He can allow Hearts to heal and wounds to mend He will be there, your one true Friend They take the little girl Way back to the room Where there she’ll birth What has grown in her womb Young enough for innocence But she’s the one who’s been through it She didn’t know cause he hit her hard More than one crime some man did commit Only here Only now Only He can appear Only He can allow Hearts to heal and wounds to mend He will be there, your one true friend That boy has cancer That woman is alone The blue eyed girl is just 13 and already a mom of one Through struggle Through ache Through tears And heartbreak Only He can appear Only He can allow Hearts to heal and wounds to mend He will be there, your one true friend He will be your comfort He will be your strength He will give the effort He will go to great lengths He will allow your heart to mend To your wounds he will tend He will be there, through everything, your Father and your friend. ~missy |
