I look at the clock, hell, I need some sleep,
But thoughts of you stealthily creep
Onto my mind, into my brain,
Reminders of you fall like steady rain.
And like the rain they’ll do their worst,
Striking my heart where they’ll know it hurts.

Everything you said to me runs through my mind,
Things like, “I’ll love you ‘till the end of time.”

You pop into my mind randomly through the day,
I don’t know who to make you go away.
My friends are losing patience with me,
And I know that they’ll probably never see.
I’m mad at myself for believing what you said,
I let my heart lead instead of my head.

“I love you more than there are stars in the sky,”
was everything you said to me always a lie?

It’s getting better, the tears have stopped flowing,
And every day it’s getting easier to get up and get going.
I’m starting to flirt, I REALLY missed that!
And there’s more than a few that are flirting back.
I’m keeping busy, I’ve taken back my life,
I’m over the big mountain of pain and of strife.

“I’m gonna marry you,” “You set me on fire,”
All the words of an accomplished liar.

I've stopped fighting my inner demons... we're on the same side now.

Wow. Really good. Good flow and I love the way in which you write. Good one!
