"You little creep," That's what she said, these quotes from my mother, get better every day. "You'll be nothing, just like your father, at least that's what the kids on the street say." And Valerie spent her hours at the airport, She said planes made her feel like she could get away. And I spent my hours at the hospital, wishing I had an airport... Someday...because some days are just too hard. You and I hung like space stations and rocketships, and we dreamed like we were things of the sky. We kissed like kings and queens and lovers, and whispered into the night "Our love will never die." I waited on the porch, hoping that you'd call, and my dialing finger's tired, and your voicemail is full. I've been counting stars just to pass the time. And that damn phone just rang, but it wasn't you on the line. But you don't seem to mind. And then it was time to go, but I was thinking of summer, knowing that in June, you wouldn't be around. And they say that children make the greatest soldiers, they do just like they're told, and take up less space on the ground. And it seems to me that we'd been here before. Where were you when you were at the airport? Where were you when I wanted to fly? Tell me where your heart was when you were at the airport. These planes, they fall from the sky. And I wish I had an airport, some days. Because some days are just too hard. |

Wow.. I can not say anything. Speechless. Definitely one of the best I have ever read in a while. I havent been on as much but still...WoW.. Excellent. There may be minor editing things. But I will go over this later and look at it |
